THE HOLLYWOOD CONNECTION

"Rediagnosing the Oceans" was written and directed by Randy Olson, a former marine biologist (Ph.D. Harvard University, 1984) who is a graduate of the University of Southern California's Cinema School (1997).

For this project, Dr. Olson drew on a wide range of Hollywood talent, including the actress Lisa Thornhill (voiceover) who appeared in "The Family Man" with Nicolas Cage and plays Angelina Jolie's sister in the upcoming "Life, or Something Like It." She has also been a guest star on many shows including "Friends" and "Ally McBeal."

Margaret Easley (actress in the hospital scene) appeared in seven national television commercials over the past year including McDonalds, Volkswagen, and American Express. She has also been a guest star on such shows as "Buffy" and "Charmed."

Christopher Kemp (music) has scored a number of national television commercials including Infinity (with the hummingbird in slo-mo) featured in this year's Super Bowl and E-trade (with the monkey riding the donkey through the dot.com ghost town) in last year's Super Bowl.
